Trauma Informed Facilitator Training – Face to Face and Online May – July 2026. Sundays 2pm – 6pm May and June/10am – 2pm July.
As more of us are embracing the magic of healing – somatic work, psychedelics, breathwork, sound healing, cacao ceremonies etc and holding space for others…. it becomes imperative that we have a solid training in trauma and attachment work, medical contraindications, codes of ethics, spiritual emergency, legalities and what to do if things go wrong. Stuff WILL come up in this space, and I want to support you to hold a safe, ethical, container for healing work.
After nearly 20 years of facilitation of various trauma healing modalities and making my own series of mistakes, of not doing the right thing, or of being pulled unethically by desires or fears… AND 15 years of training, with some of the worlds leading trainers in trauma informed work, in how to show up in a trauma sensitive way, and how to deal with things when they go wrong.
The course consists of teachings gleaned not just from my own experience but also insights and teachings from the likes of Dr Gabor Mate, Dr Stephen Porges, Dr Diane Poole Heller, Dr Stanislav Grof, Michael Stone, Brack Jeffries, Kylea Taylor, Marshall Rosenberg and many others.
The subjects are built around a culmination of the essential foundations I feel are important for a facilitator who wishes to really hold a safe, non judgemental, present container for their clients.
And yes things will still come up in the spaces, but you will know how to handle them, even in crisis.
The first 6 modules are focussed on self reflection and awareness, and so there is an aspect of this work that you need to be ready to dive into. Many of these self reflection sessions have somatic work or physical exercises and will be held face to face in a group session held at The Sanctuary in Gozo, to support your process.
Due to this aspect and the sensitive nature of many of the subjects, it is imperative that you have your own therapeutic support engaged to support you outside of the course container as while this is a sensitively held psychoeducational space, it is not therapy, it is for sharing and teaching of knowledge, tools and skills.
The course is done both face to face (for certain sessions) and then online for the subjects that are less sensitive/more theory based.
This space is LGBTQI friendly and all diversity of identification, gender, sexuality, race are welcome in the space.
The course will close with a written assessment to ensure you have gleaned the foundational concepts, and then you will be awarded a certificate on successful completion.
FYI: There will be an introductory call for all participants, to ensure that the course is the right fit for you, and to speak about any potential trauma triggers that may arise for you from the subject matter, to ensure I can support you best.

Please note I am not a licensed clinical psychotherapist, I am a trained trauma informed therapist (my qualifications and certifications are on the home page), this is a psycho educational learning and experiencing space, and although I have studied these subjects and tools with trained experts and used them for 15 years, I am still far from perfect, so there is no expectation for you to be either. We are all walking each other home. This is a safe, confidential space without judgement.
